Western Seer Records presents Belle Plaine, Blake Berglund and Lachlan Neville in an evening of original country music backed by their band The Western Seer Hired Hands. The 3 set performance showcases the music that has landed them individually on stages with Dwight Yoakam, Tyler Childers, Marty Stuart and Colter Wall. This unique high energy show can be presented as both cabaret style or sit-down affair sure to rouse audiences of all ages.
Belle Plaine is an independent, award-winning songwriter working on her fourth full-length studio album, The Weather. Her stylistic prowess has her live performance backed by symphony orchestras and honky tonk bar-bands. Melanie Berglund is a writer, producer and mother, having directed her debut documentary “Belle Plaine & Blake Berglund: Living From Home”. She has been rewarded with festival spots such as at Small Halls on Prince Edward Island, Regina Folk Festival and appearances at industry events like Folk Alliance International and JUNOfest.
Blake Berglund is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and storyteller. He released his sixth full-length album, a double LP concept record and manifesto, What’s Left of the Right. Treading new sonic territory, the self-produced collection of 20 songs is a multi-genre political statement and rural memoir. He has been recognized with nominations and awards by The Western Canadian Music Awards, Saskatchewan Country Music Awards and Independent Musician Awards. Blake farms alongside his siblings in Kennedy, Saskatchewan.
Lachlan Neville is a recent graduate from Rocanville High School and a seasoned songwriter. Influenced by Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, Lachlan’s self-titled debut album (produced by Berglund) is set for release late 2024 preceded by a summer of festivals including Big Flat Folk Festival, Gateway Festival, Ness Creek Music Festival, and Northern Lights Bluegrass Festival. His music is rapidly gaining attention with a consistent tour schedule throughout Western Canada.
