There are a few things hotter than a Texas summer night and
you're about to witness one of them...

Andrew "Jr. Boy" Jones
Saturday, June 16
Live at the historic Bow Theatre
Bow Island, Alberta Canada

A great Dallas musician who has worked with
Freddie King, Johnnie Taylor, Katie Webster, Bobby Patterson, Charlie Musselwhite, and other big name blues stars. He has his own Dallas based record label, GalexC Records, which is probably better known in England than in Dallas. He's recorded for several different labels including RSO (on Freddie King's Larger than Life Lp), four albums for Alligator Records (three with Charlie Musselwhite, one with Katie Webster), plus two under his own name.
-Don O. Buddy Magazine

"...one of the finest guitar performances that I have seen in a long, long time. Jones' command of the edgy Texas guitar style and his crisp,
clean guitar work was simply amazing.

Whether he was playing a great slowed down version of Junior Wells' hit "Little By Little" or his fine original "Big Legs. Heavy Bottom,"
this was one KILLER SHOW!"

  About Lionel Rault
For over 30 years, Lionel Rault has been one of Alberta's favorite folk-roots musicians, having played in bands and as a solo artist. Described by critics as being an intense, electrifying guitarist, Lionel also is a gifted songwriter with extraordinary scope in his creativity and understanding of the folk-roots genre. In addition to numerous recording industry award nominations, Lionel's composition "Easy Street" was included on the commemorative CD released to honour the 2003 Juno Award winners. He has a wide range of concert, night club, television, radio and folk festival appearances to his credit, performing in the company of such world class artists as John Hiatt, Willie Dixon, John Hammond, Jesse Winchester, Taj Mahal, J.J. Cale, John Lee Hooker, the Staple Singers and The Pointer Sisters. Lionel has four albums to his credit, independent releases "Killin' Time", "Been So Long", and "No Tell Hotel" as well as "The Nashville Sessions" released by Nashville's Audiogram label. These days, when Lionel isn't working on his own music, he plays with his brother in their band, The Rault Brothers. He is an extremely busy musician. Lionel loves life in Alberta. He has chosen to stay here to live, bring up his children, and share his talents with CKUA each week on Nine to Noon and Lionel's Vinyls.
