Triple Threat (Johnny V, Rusty Reed, Tim Williams)
On December 17, 1994, the Blues Club cut the ribbon in the historic Bow Theatre. Every show to be seen at the club from that point forward would host a house of enthusiastic patrons. Some time shortly after, the infamous "Wall of Fame" began and every artist has left their signature on it, as well as their testimonies to the magic of the place. The Bow Theatre had become Home of the Blues in Southern Alberta.
What better show to open the club than Triple Threat along with a rhythm section. This group of musicians was for many, their first introduction to live Blues. They rocked the house 'till the wee hours of the night! Triple Threat released "Terra Firma Boogie" in 1993 and were nominated for a Juno in the Blues and Gospel category. This CD has been reissued on Storm Warning records and is once again available to the public.
~ Note ~
Previous to the opening of the Bow Theatre, Triple Threat performed the first ever (acoustic) Blues concert in Bow Island in August of 1993 at the Elks Hall. They were to return in October of 1993 with a rhythm section. On July 16, 1994, the Johnny V Trio performed the first hardcore, rockin' Blues show at the Multiplex in Bow Island. Johnny V had been with the Blues Club from the start, helping a great deal with the sound system, as well as much else.
